Private Residence, Gurgaon

about the project

The architectural lighting, designed by ILDL, for this private residence in Gurugram thoughtfully weaves together layers of illumination to shape a warm, expressive interior. Soft general lighting from ceiling-recessed adjustable downlights provides a comfortable base, while discreet miniature pin-spot fixtures draw gentle focus to the central table, enhancing intimacy. Lamps introduce a cozy, ambient glow, enriching the space with a sense of warmth and belonging. Curtain grazing lights elegantly define vertical planes, adding depth and drama to the rooms. Precisely integrated shelf lighting reveals the form and detail of each glass object, turning the display into a focal point.
In the bedroom, carefully placed high-CRI downlights enhance the richness of colors and materials, creating an inviting and restful retreat.
Meanwhile, in the lobby, a subtle wall-wash effect guides the gaze toward a featured artwork, culminating in a beautifully lit console that anchors the corridor with grace and purpose.
Together, these elements demonstrate ILDL’s commitment to using light not just as a tool, but as a narrative device—shaping mood, guiding attention, and enhancing the spatial experience in a way that feels both refined and deeply personal.
