points
One constant.
Vikram started his career back in 1993 by manufacturing electrical ballasts in Delhi. The market wanted cheaper. He wanted better, still the only thesis the company runs on. By 2000, architectural lighting in India was still finding its language. So the company started building partnerships with manufacturers in Italy, France, and the UK who had already solved it and brought their work home.
In 2008, the practice took its own name, Innovative Lighting Designs Ltd. with a set of convictions about optics, layered contrast, and the way light quietly directs how a room feels and how people move through it.
By 2023, the same architects who trusted ILDL to light a façade were asking a different question, who do you call about the chandelier? The answer became bringing the world’s most considered design houses to India, gathered to the same standard.
The thesis never changed. Only what it was applied to did.

Built on the unit that measures light
Our symbol is the luminous flux, ϕ. Bold typography grounds it, giving the mark a geometric rigour balanced by the freedom of the curve.
Black and white carry the rest: white for adaptability, black for certainty, and the contrast between them for the clarity light brings to a space.
